Remote Capability

Remote Project Experience

Novid Corp brings specialized experience to remote, northern, and logistically challenging projects across Canada — where seasonal shipping, extreme weather, and limited access shape everything about how a project is planned and executed.

What We Plan For

Eight conditions that shape every remote project.

Seasonal Shipping Windows

Winter roads, summer sealift, and fly-in-only access all dictate when materials and modules can move. We plan every schedule around the season, not against it.

Limited Site Access

Many sites can only be reached by air, barge, or seasonal road. Every logistics plan accounts for how materials actually get there.

Extreme Weather

Cold-weather construction, permafrost, and short working seasons shape scheduling, site protection, and crew safety from day one.

Accommodation & Labour

Remote sites mean planning crew camps, travel rotations, and labour availability alongside the build itself.

Equipment Availability

Local equipment can be scarce or unavailable. We plan what needs to travel with the project well in advance.

Material Shortages

Long lead times and limited local supply mean materials are ordered and staged early, with contingency for delays.

Community Coordination

We work directly with local governments, housing authorities, and community members to align schedules, access, and expectations.

The Importance of Preplanning

Every remote project succeeds or fails on the planning done before mobilization. We front-load the decisions that can't be made on the fly.

Community Relationships

Supporting the communities we work in.

Novid Corp has supported Attagoyuk Ilisavik High School in Pangnirtung by sponsoring its badminton team with equipment, flights, and accommodation — one example of the relationships we build in the communities where we work.
